Buttigieg took aim at Trump’s tariff and trade proposals, arguing they drive up costs for groceries, gas, housing, and healthcare for everyday Americans. Buttigieg also criticized congressional candidate Brandon Herrera (known as the “AK Guy”) over controversial past online remarks regarding veteran suicides and other topics. Buttigieg argued that Texas political dynamics are shifting and urged local voters to push back against Republican voting tactics, such as gerrymandering, while framing Democratic values as a shared majority.
